How to interface Werfen Immocor Echo Lumena with LabXpert Automation

LabXpert Automation connects with the Werfen Immocor Echo via TCP/IP using the ASTM communication protocols.

You must install the application on a computer connected to the machine via a network. This guide assumes you have already installed the LabXpert Automation application and added the Werfen Immocor Echo. See How to interface lab equipment with LabXpert Automation for more information.

Interface Configuration

Step 1: Login

Go to file tab to login using credentials below

 Username: Service 

 Password: 113512312


Step 2: Navigation

- Go to Tools tab

- Select General Options


Step 2a: Communication Settings- Under HIS/LIS, select Socket/TCP- Ensure Socket/TCP is chosen as the communication protocol


Step 2b: IP Address and Port Configuration

- Input IP Address: [Copy from LabXpert automation app]

- Input Port Number: [Copy from LabXpert automation app]


Step 3: Initialize Interface

- Click Interface Status button to start the connection

- Verify the connection status


Step 4: Save and Close

- Close the General Options window to save changes

Configuring Automatic Export of results

Under Results tab

- Unmark that results must be approved before they can be exported, Then  Select/enable automatically export results

- Unmark/disable  export of invalid results

- Unmark/disable export of NTD results


Note: All results automatically exported successfully are reflected with green tick and unsuccessful exported are reflected with red mark

Sending/Exporting Results

- To export test results:

1. Select the result or batch from the Results panel.

2. With the LIS switched on and active, click the Export Results button on the Results bar to export results.


The export symbol appears next to the exported results in the Results panel. Once the results are exported, the export symbol is updated based on the export transmission status. The export transmission status of results is indicated by five icons. Examples of the icons are shown in the table of commonly used symbols described earlier in this chapter.
