How to interface lab equipment with LabXpert Automation

LabXpert Automation is an interfacing middleware for lab equipment. The application supports several manufacturers and models with more being added daily. This article outlines the process of connecting lab equipment with the application.
- To connect lab equipment, the first thing you need to do is register it on the application. On the home page, under the Machines section, click the + button on the top right corner
- You will be presented with a list of manufacturers. Select the one corresponding to your lab equipment and click Next.
- You will presented with models made by the selected manufacturer. Select the corresponding model and click Next.
- You will be presented with an input for the equipment serial number and options for the connection method. Once provided, click Complete.
- You can find the serial number usually written on a sticker on the back of the machine.
- Select the appropriate common method, common methods include; Serial, TCP as Client, TCP as Server, File, Folder, and Database.
If you do not see your equipment manufacturer or model, most likely it has not yet been integrated. Contact support to integrate your equipment.
Once you complete the registration, you are presented with a detailed page for the machine. On the top right, you will see a ? button from which you can find further information to connect the machine that is specific to the model.
